Until now, showing your heart rate on Twitch was only possible with a PC setup. Thanks to the Pulsoid Twitch Extension, you can now display your real-time heart rate on Twitch directly from a PS4 or PS5 — no capture card or extra software needed while streaming. Whether you're playing intense horror games or pushing your limits in a speedrun, your viewers will see exactly how your heart reacts during gameplay.
To get started, you’ll need to complete a one-time setup using a PC or mobile browser. Once configured, your heart rate overlay will work automatically every time you stream from your PlayStation console.
What you'll need to get started
Pulsoid works with over 200 devices. If you're looking for a new one, we recommend options like CooSpo or Polar H10. However, feel free to explore our list of compatible devices, which includes Apple Watch, Wear OS watches, select Fitbit models, and other smart devices. If you're unsure about your device, reach out to us at support@pulsoid.net or ask in our Discord server.

The Pulsoid mobile app is used to read data from your heart rate monitor and send it to your Pulsoid account for streaming. Get Pulsoid for iOS or Android

How to configure Twitch extension
The Pulsoid Extension configuration page displays three key statuses to help you set up and verify your connection:
Twitch Account Connection
Shows whether your Twitch channel is successfully connected to your Pulsoid account.
Heart Rate Status
Reflects the real-time BPM data from your Pulsoid Dashboard. This confirms whether your heart rate is being received correctly.
Twitch Overlay Activation
Indicates whether the Pulsoid Twitch Extension overlay is active. This is essential—without it, your viewers won’t be able to see the heart rate display on your stream. Click the “How to activate overlay?” button on the page to see step-by-step instructions.

After installing the Pulsoid Twitch Extension and linking your account, choose the widget design and other settings like Viewer Access and Delay.
How to start streaming from your PlayStation
Now that the Pulsoid extension is configured, here's how to stream with your heart rate showing. The following steps are for PS4. For PS5, follow this guide.
In the game you want to stream, press the "Share" button on your controller and select "Broadcast Gameplay" in the menu
Choose Twitch as your platform and click "Link"
A URL, and code will be shown. Open the link on a browser (or scan the QR-code), enter the code, and click "Activate"
Log in or confirm your password, verify your account, and give permissions to the PlayStation Network
Once linked, your PlayStation will confirm the connection. Click "Ok"
Add your title, stream quality, and mic options. Then click "Start Broadcasting"
That’s it — as long as you’re wearing a heart rate monitor and it’s connected in the Pulsoid app, your real-time heart rate will be visible to viewers through the Pulsoid Twitch Extension.
