Introduction: A New Way to Share Your Heart Rate on Twitch
If you've ever streamed horror games, fitness sessions, or intense boss fights, you know that your heart rate is a great, entertaining addition to your gameplay. Pulsoid has long offered an easy way to show your real-time BPM on stream with OBS —but now there’s a powerful new option designed specifically for Twitch: the Pulsoid Twitch Extension.
This extension goes beyond the standard browser overlay. It introduces a unique feature: viewer access control. You, the streamer, decide who can see your heart rate—everyone, followers only, or soon, even subscribers or Bit cheerers. That means you can turn your heart rate into exclusive content, rewarding followers or monetizing reactions with subs and Bits.
What Makes the Pulsoid Twitch Extension Special
🎯 Control Who Sees Your Heart Rate
With Pulsoid’s Twitch Extension, you can choose who gets to see your live BPM—everyone or followers only. It’s a simple way to reward followers and encourage more people to hit that follow button.
“Follow to see my actual heart rate in real time!”
💡 Coming Soon: Subs and Bits Access
Soon, you’ll be able to limit access to subscribers or unlock it with Bits—giving you new ways to monetize reactions.

⚙️ No CPU Usage
Since the extension runs on Twitch, there’s no impact on your CPU, no browser source, and no extra setup—perfect for lightweight or cloud streaming.
👁️ Viewer Can Toggle Heart Rate Visibility
Viewers also have the option to toggle whether they want to see the heart rate data. This gives them control over their experience and adds an interactive element to the stream.

How to Configure Pulsoid Twitch Extension
The Pulsoid Extension configuration page displays three key statuses to help you set up and verify your connection:
Twitch Account Connection
Shows whether your Twitch channel is successfully connected to your Pulsoid account.
Heart Rate Status
Reflects the real-time BPM data from your Pulsoid Dashboard. This confirms whether your heart rate is being received correctly.
Twitch Overlay Activation
Indicates whether the Pulsoid Twitch Extension overlay is active. This is essential—without it, your viewers won’t be able to see the heart rate display on your stream.
After installing the Pulsoid Twitch Extension and linking your account, configure your settings on the Pulsoid website:
🎨 Widget Design
Pick a widget style you've been using already or add a new one from the library. Then, choose its screen location to fit your stream layout.
👥 Viewer Access
Select All Viewers or Followers Only. If you choose Followers Only, the overlay will prompt viewers to follow you to see the heart rate, so you don't have to mention it all the time.
Note: Followers-only mode requires extra permission to read your follower list, so you'll need to authorize Pulsoid for this.
Soon, you'll also be able to limit access to subscribers or unlock it with Bits - a new way to monetize reactions. 💬 Want it sooner? Vote for subs & Bits access here.
⏱️ Stream Delay
Set the same stream delay in the Pulsoid settings as in your streaming software to sync heart rate data Overlay with your stream.

Done. Check the Overlay on Twitch while Live
If everything is set up correctly and your channel is live, the widget will appear in your Twitch overlay for viewers who have access according to your Viewer Access settings.
Do not lose your BPM for clips
Twitch overlays are not visible in VODs or clips. If you want Pulsoid widgets to appear in post-stream content, make sure to record a separate scene in OBS.
