We do our best to make your heart rate streaming experience as smooth-running as possible but no matter how much we do there is always room for improvement. That’s what we thought before starting our Stream Deck plugin development.
Imagine, you have some intense gameplay moments and feel curious about what heart rate your viewers see on your stream. One glance at your Stream Deck and your curiosity is satisfied. You’ll also quickly find out if your heart rate monitor has disconnected or its battery died.
What is Pulsoid?
Pulsoid is a service that strives to make implementing your heart rate into your content an easy and fun experience. We have an extensive and ever-expanding library of heart rate widgets, analytics, and integrations with third-party services. Many of your viewers are very likely to get some additional level of entertainment and connection when seeing a visual representation of your inner turmoils. Most of Pulsoid’s functionality is free but our BRO plan gives you access to some extra cool features like integrations and additional widgets. All you need is your phone with the Pulsoid app, your heart rate monitoring device, a Pulsoid account, and 5 minutes of your time to set everything up. You see, heart rate monitors are great: their data flow is accurate and almost instant, they are very low-key and you may even forget that you are wearing one sometimes. But they also may not be as informative as you want. It’s nice for active sports where all gear you wear should let you forget about it as much as possible but for streamers, who have to manage their whole layout, a bit more feedback and control would be quite helpful: it’s hard to argue that being reminded if your heart rate monitor is off and seeing what is your heart rate on the spot is nice. Stream Deck is such a popular product and chances are you already own one. So why not get the best from it with this new Pulsoid plugin?
Setting up:
The whole setup process isn’t much of a fuss too!
1. First of all you’ll need to download the plugin. You can do it via Elgato’s plugin library.
After that, you can add the Pulsoid button to your layout.
2. Click the gear icon in the configurations for the Pulsoid button. This will open global Pulsoid settings where you can find a link to get a token and validate your token in your Stream Deck software.
3. After you click 'Generate your authorization token' you will be directed to the authorization page, where you have to 'Authorize app'
4. Right after that you will receive the actual token you have to use in the Stream Deck button settings. Copy the token to use in the next step
5. Insert the token into a respective field in Steam Deck and click 'Validate token'
Done! Your account should now be connected, and the button will display your real-time heart rate. If you have any issues connecting your Stream Deck plugin, please contact us on Pulsoid Discord or at support@pulsoid.net.
